Comparison of Online and Face-to-Face Supervision of Undergraduate Criminal Justice Internships: Coordinating and Delivering Internships Traditionally and at a Distance

Session Description
Supervision and coordination of criminal justice students as they perform in-the-field internships has its challenges. Typically, this is accomplished in the same city or close geographic proximity. Park University utilizes a central coordinator who approves and facilitates the internships of criminal justice interns located in 40 campus center locations, as well as online students located outside the proximity of the designated campus centers. The presentation will compare the program overview to that of two face-to-face criminal justice internships. Student reviews of the online program obtained from an online survey will also be discussed.
