Developing Critical Thinking Skills Using Essential Question and Prezi

Since I began teaching with essential questions (http://www.authenticeducation.org/ae_bigideas/article.lasso?artid=53) I have found that students think deeply about a subject. My most success has been in the course, The Literature and History of the Holocaust. An important part of creating an answer to the essential question in my classroom is the use of Prezi. (www.prezi.com) Students use the tool to be organize their thoughts, and then present their answer. Since the students’ work is always online, peer review adds to student learning and critical thinking.
