This book club is focused on “metagaming,” or the act of finding and using information beyond the game itself that can influence one’s in-game decisions. In the context of education, we read books, articles, websites, and blogs about gaming, or the “metagames” that can influence the way we employ games in education. Topics related to the gamification of education, game-based learning, game studies, and Machinima (screen capture of game play) are explored in different offerings of this book club.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
Fantastic presentation! I highly recommend viewing the recording for this session if you were not able to attend live!
This was such a fun presentation! Having multiple presenters from various locations, getting to see video & images of them, and their style of presentation made this feel more like a live radio broadcast with informal, jovial conversation back and forth. I felt like a kid at a candy store with all the resources that were introduced – Now just to find time to use them!
