Understanding the LTEC PhD Journey via Second Life (SL)

Session Description
The PhD Journey instructional module in Second Life (SL) is designed for prospective and first year LTEC doctoral students at the University of Hawaii. Currently, if students want to know about different aspects of the LTEC PhD, then they must search the College Of Education website as well as various UH Manoa and outside sites. In this sim, we will integrate resources from multiple sources into a central experiential 3D space, making learning about the program fun and educational. Second Life’s virtual environment will serve as a setting for content that offers immersion and interactivity in new and exciting ways. The purpose of this module is to engage students in experiences that helps them better understand the doctoral process from start to finish.

I am sorry that i was unable to attend your session. I look forward to the recording and hearing more about your work.

If you need any contact or support in Second Life, please let me know. *grins* I’ve amassed quite a few artifacts from teaching 49 classes in SL.

    Mahalo! *waves*
