Session Description
During this session, participants will be given a tour of the research component used in Wichita State’s fully-online Business Writing course. In the second half of the course, students are required to write a Grant Funding Request and Proposal. As a result, a large portion of this project’s worth is based on student-led research. In previous courses, students struggled to access materials and locate scholarly sources. In an effort to acquaint online Business Writing students with the research support available to them at the university, this portion of the course was recently revamped and released to students. Through publisher materials, videos, and interactive components, Business Writing online at Wichita State has created a more user-friendly research experience for distance learners. Participants in this session will be encouraged to ask questions during the session that can be answered in real-time through direct illustration.
