Session Description
Museums and other institutions have been responsive to the work of artists and scholars beyond fair use by putting thousands of images online. While there is a variance in what access is allowed, Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum shines in the face of this movement. Come take a tour of the Rijksstudio, which not only makes images accessible, but provides a maker space with a variety of options, and encourages makers with contests. This session outlines the variances of some of the contributors, and highlights the features of the Rijksstudio. Participants will also learn how to get their own studios.
